WHERE: 293 10th Ave, New York, NY
WHEN: October 26-December 23

The phrase “believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see”, which is pictured in the bottom right neon tunnel photo, is very fitting for this installation. Artist Ivan Navarro has created neon tunnels, all which have a green tint, and are completely an illusion. The “tunnels” are made out of life-size objects that have mirrors as the back walls of them which is how it creates a tunnel effect. Pictured in the bottom left photo is one of the tunnels that reads “beat me”, curated in a life-size drum head, which is in a room surrounded by scattered papers all over the ground that read “loud unclear” and “read you”. From the looks of it, this installation seems to be bringing together the subjects of sound and illusion all in a futuristic way.
