Hey guys! I can’t believe it’s almost 2018?! I’m still unsure of what my resolutions for the new year will be, but before figuring that out I wanted to do some reflection on 2017. I went through my camera roll and picked 9 of my best moments from this past year (listed in chronological order). This year has been my most memorable yet and I can’t see what 2018 has in store- Enjoy!

Over my Spring break, my friend Tara and I drove to Washington D.C. to see Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Rooms exhibition at the Hirshhorn Museum. We weren’t able to get tickets in advance so we got up super early and waited in the non-ticketed line hoping we would get tickets. After 2 hours of waiting, we didn’t get tickets. We then went to the customer service desk asking if there was anything we could do considering we had just driven 2 hours to get there and luckily they just gave us tickets! The exhibition was unreal and probably the best I’ve seen to date. Kusama is a genius!

This past April my friend Ryan and I went to a DNCE concert (only went for Joe) at the Brooklyn Bowl. It was a free general admission concert so we showed up early to be close. Luckily, we ended up being first row and there was no barricade so we were right up against the stage!

Before the Spring semester ended, my friends and I took a trip to Coney Island. This was everyone’s first time there (except Mia) and it was actually a lot more fun than we all expected!? We did a few rides and spent the rest of the day taking pictures on the beach and walking the pier. We also ran into Nat Wolff!

If you know me, you know how obsessed I am with Miley Cyrus and it’s still crazy to me that we have a picture together. It was finals week and Miley’s new single ‘Malibu’ had just been released. She was doing a radio tour and I saw online that she was going to be at Z100 the morning of my last final. The timing actually worked out perfectly because I got to Z100 around 7AM and my final was at 8:15AM. Miley showed up around 7:30AM and took a picture with everyone there! Afterwards, I failed my final, but how was I supposed to concentrate when I had just met Miley Cyrus?!

My long-awaited trip to SoCal this past May with my best friend Mia was unreal. Although this wasn’t my first trip to California, this was my first time being in SoCal and having complete control over what I wanted to do (my first trip to California was for a wedding). Before we went, we made an itinerary with a list of places we wanted to go to everyday which really allowed us to do and see as much as we did. We also rented a car during our trip which allowed to to travel outside of Los Angeles to places like Malibu, Laguna Beach, and Palm Springs. I’ve always dreamt of living in L.A. at some point in my life and after being there for a week it reinsured that thought and I now plan on moving there in 2020!

In June, my friends and I took a trip to Disney World in Florida. We had just been there in 2016 for our senior trip, but we enjoyed it so much we planned another trip! Our trip was 4 days long and at the time Animal Kingdom’s World of Avatar had just opened which has a new ride called Flight of Passage. We waited a good hour and a half for this ride but the wait was so worth it and we all agreed it’s the best ride in all of Disney World- you must go on it the next time you’re there!!

2 days after getting home from Disney, my friends and I went to Firefly Music Festival in Dover. I was really only interested in seeing Kesha and The Weeknd but my friends wanted to see Chance the Rapper so we didn’t leave the festival until around 2AM. It was my first time at Firefly and the whole experience was so cool!

This past August, my best friend Mia and I moved to Williamsburg, Brooklyn! We came up to NYC in July to look at apartments for 2 days and after looking at 14 different apartment, we picked one in Willimasburg- it was actually the last apartment we looked at! I really love living in Brooklyn; Since I work and go to school in Manhattan, I like feeling as if I’m going home everyday out of Manhattan. You can check out my room tour here!

After months of waiting for the announcement, 29Rooms returned to Brooklyn for the 3rd year in a row! If you’re unaware of what 29Rooms is, it’s basically just 29 different themed rooms, all in collaboration with different artists and companies, hosted and created by Refinery29. Luckily I’ve been able to go to 29Rooms every year since it first started and it’s now something I look forward to every NYFW. This year I went with my friends Mia, Rohini, and Sarah and we obviously took toooooonnns of pics!
